1. You said that courses are locked and the renew button is not working. Do you mean that courses are locked when the user tries to renew now the certification via the My Activity page by clicking on Renew Now? Could you clarify what you mean by the feature doesn't work? Is this related to courses for the learning plan "Compulsory Courses", because I don't see a certification associated with it? If you could share replication steps and some examples it would be great.
2. Since in the Learning Plan "Compulsory Courses' part of the courses should be renovated annually and others bi-annually, you thought to split the courses into 2 different learning plans so that you could assign the annual certification to one and the bi-annually re-certification to another. You would like to know what would be the best way to achieve this as in this way the dates of completion would not match up. Am I correct?
I appreciate the importance of making sure that users are able to renovate their certification when needed so that their skills can be refreshed as per your internal guidelines regarding compulsory training.
I've checked the Learning Plan "Compulsory Courses" and I don't see any certification associated:
I can see that instead once they completed this you've created a new learning plan for the certification annually CHECKATRADE ANNUAL:
And another for the Bi-Annual CHECKATRADE BI-Annual:
Generally speaking, there is no way to assign 2 different certifications in the same learning plan, therefore the only way as you said would be to create 2 different learning plans with their relative certifications that the user can renew when expired.
Please note to renew a certification you first need to achieve it from the learning plan and once it's expired you're able to find the renew button in your my activity areas. If you have completed the courses in another learning plan you wouldn't get the certification in the first place.
For example, if they take the LP in Compulsory Courses and they finished since there's no certification associated they wouldn't be automatically scheduled or alerted to get the certification after one here. Instead, if you enrol directly the users in both learning plans with the certifications associated (annually and biannually) they will then be able to take the certification in the first place and then renovate it annually in one learning plan and biannually in the other.
I understand that being able to assign different certifications in a learning plan based on a set of courses inside it and not on the full learning plan completion would be beneficial for you.
